Angle-Angle

This is a dynamic digging volleyball drill. But, there’s more to it than that. Read on!

Here’s what you need.
3 volleyball players
2 coaches
lots of volleyballs

-Coaches, take right front and left front.

-Put one girl in the middle the net. She’s your setter.

-Then, the other 2 claim right back and middle back (for now, because they’ll be moving).

The coach in left front starts. She hits a down ball toward the right back/middle back area. The girls must communicate for the dig.

Then the “setter” will set either coach (her choice). The “chosen” coach will hit a down ball to the diggers. Coaches must hit the opposite angle from where they are standing. Hence the name “Angle-Angle.”

Depending on which coach hits, the diggers must shuffle back and forth… quickly.

After about 10 swings, switch jobs. Make sure each girl gets a chance to set.
