Off season volleyball conditioning

It’s another conditioning volleyball drill! But, come on, what do you expect? It’s the off-season. We are all about improving speed and verticals.

This time, the team must complete 20 full court suicides in 20 minutes. Trust me, if your team can complete this drill, they are in IMPECCABLE shape. Like Misty May-Treanor shape. This is super difficult.

Keep track of the minutes. In at least the first sprints, they should finish in under a minute. That means they’ll get a teeny-tiny rest period before you yell “start” at the next minute (insert evil laughter). But in all seriousness, we love our team, we don’t want to punish them with sprints, we want to improve them with sprints. Sprints are known to help improve verticals and reaction-times, which are two key strengths in the best volleyball players.
